Un serial killer sta lasciando una scia di sangue dietro di sé, firmando gli omicidi con una clessidra lasciata sul luogo del delitto. Un oggetto che diventa metafora del tempo che sta inesorabilmente scadendo per la vittima. Il protagonista è un uomo fragile, scosso e disturbato psicologicamente che non è destinato a trovare pace, salvezza o redenzione. Luca vive solo, in una casa isolata e ambigua che ne rispecchia le apparenze. Ha un particolare gusto artistico e un'inconfessabile ossessione... Dall'altra parte c'è Sara, cassiera di un supermercato che conduce una vita scandita da una routine decisamente normale; un serafico contraltare alle turbe di lui. Luca pedina Sara. Ne segue ogni mossa, la fotografa, la sogna, ne è ossessionato. E quando, spinto dall'istinto, deciderà di avere un contatto con lei, la storia prenderà una piega inaspettata.

Luca lives alone, in an isolated and ambiguous house that reflects his appearances. It has a particular artistic taste and an unmentionable obsession... On the other hand, there is Sara, a supermarket cashier who leads a life marked by a quite normal routine; a seraphic counterpart to his psychosis. Luca tails Sara. He follows every move, photographs her, dreams about her, he's obsessed with her. When, driven by instinct, he decides to have contact with her, the story will take an unexpected turn.
