The so-called Trafaria fishermen's tents are a place for storing fishing and business material, a business that goes from collecting and selling fish / shellfish to selling and distributing drugs. It is also the home of most fishermen and shellfishers.
Known by many as dangerous and difficult to access due to its content and the kind of people who frequent it, this place presents us with an interesting case. It is a degraded place, stopped in time, poor and quiet, and in the hours of greater movement, as for example, at the time of the sale of the fish in the lota, it becomes a more vivid and euphoric place.
When we began to analyze this community better, we were overcome by the feeling that these Men are left there as a population a little apart, stagnant in time, waiting to evolve. Many of them, unable to read or write, remain there waiting for luck to knock on the door and that the catch of the clams is not interdicted. This community fishes and shellfish on the river and has almost like that a love-hate relationship with this, a feeling for something that is sometimes generous with them but that often preaches to them matches.
We came across quite different characters, which made the research much more interesting. We have more sociable and "accessible" characters, but on the other hand, we also have more timid and less affable characters. Some more than others, interact with each other. It is possible to feel that there is some spirit of union between the fishermen, but at the same time some sense of competition.
About the concept and the narrative, this film tries to present an analytical-social point of view and the universal question that it intends to raise is the sedentariness and the faint marginality of this group of fishermen / mariscadores, in the sense that they rarely leave that zone, also making so his life rather monotonous.
We want to portray the hustle and bustle experienced by the fishermen, who live trapped in an unconscious or sometimes conscious life, but wanting to change it for another.
