All the pain in the world

London. Christmas time. Paul is standing in front of a pet shop, looking at the animals in the window. He’s about to leave, when he notices in the tank a minuscule black fish, trapped between the glass and some seaweed. The ill-fated fish is choking and is clearly about to die. Sorry for the animal, Paul decides to enter the shop and inform the shopkeepers. But both the shop owner and his assistant don’t seem to share Paul’s anxiety, and return his care with total indifference. As Paul insists, the situation slowly spirals out of control… Based on the short story "All the pain in the world" by Michele Mari.
