Submit your short film to Skepto International Film Festival 2023! Read the official rules (pdf).

Submission to Skepto International Film Festival can be made only through Festhome. Submission fee 10 € + fee (Festhome), and the deadline is June 10th, 2023.
 

The festival will take place in Cagliari in October 2023, with additional screenings on contemporary or later dates (in any case, before June 2024); registering for the Skepto International Film Festival implies full acceptance of the regulations and, in case of selection, authorization to screen the submitted short film during the main competition in Cagliari and the aforementioned additional events (which will be organized and held in locations to be determined in Italy and Europe, in any case, no later than June 2024) (see regulations for more information). The final festival date and additional screening dates will be announced on this website.

The maximum duration of submitted works cannot exceed 20 minutes, including credits; for the AI category only, the maximum allowed duration is 5 minutes. The production date cannot be earlier than January 1, 2022.

The thirteenth edition of the Skepto International Film Festival will award the following prizes and special mentions:

Best-Short Award, awarded to the best short film among all those selected for participation in the competition;

Special "Alberto Signetto" Award, awarded to the best documentary short film;

Special Environmental Sustainability Award, awarded to the best short film on the theme of the necessary development of a cultural, economic, and socially responsible model that respects our planet;

Special Skeptyricon Mention: awarded to the best satirical, grotesque, or splatter short film.

Special SkeptAI Mention: awarded to the best work created with the contribution of Artificial Intelligence in all its forms.

Additional awards  or special mentions can be granted for short movies with peculiar features (for example animated movies, thematic works) at the jury’s full discretion. The total amount of money prizes will be not less than 2.000 €.
