A woman in the middle of the traffic in a metropolis succeeds in modifying the “soundscape”, the traffic noise, just by playing a simple melody on a piano, even though it is weak and out of tune. This unexpected and out of place sonorous element perhaps modifies the real for a moment. It seems to be the spark that begins a sonorous trip in the form of a dream that helps her to escape from what she is surrounded by and to search for something different. Sound is not just a “side dish”. As there is an accurate study and design of the visual aspects of the real, there should also be a study of the possibilities that sounds can offer and a space for an acoustic design.
