Gabbie

Giammarco, a former construction worker now paraplegic, becomes an actor. The doctor who had treated him at the Spinal Unit of Cagliari, convinces him to hold a mock conference on Security. The goal of the doctor is to cause a shock to the public that, very reluctantly, is forced (by the law) to follow classes on Security. The actor, posing as doctor and with the aid of a machine that allows him to stand by masking his paraplegia (an electric standing), tells (with cynical accents and emphases) the story of a typical case of accident at work and the resulting Way of the Cross through hospitals followed by the victim. In the movie you see this Calvary lived through the character of his wife. Before this conference, Giammarco has time for a swim in the hotel pool where he meets Lorena (a self-confident girl but full of prejudices) who flirts with him. She is fascinated by him and such attraction increases finding that it is actually him the speaker at the conference. Only at the end you will find that your doctor is in reality the protagonist of the story just exposed and that, in fact, Giammarco had spoken only of himself.
